      New York is noted for its museums, Los Angeles its movie studios, Chicago's premier art is public.  Progressive architecture has always been central to the city's charm, and now downtown's Millenium Park offers an art-filled ~ and fun ~ place for all to enjoy.  This open friendliness seems characteristic of the Midwest in general, related perhaps to the beautiful and vast farmland surrounding the city.
